About Time

Well it has been a little over 3 weeks since we arrived in Okinawa. It's such a great place to be, despite the weather that greeted us upon our arrival.

The weather has been great since and you'd think that since it's December it would be a little cold too. However, we decided after breakfast this morning we'd venture out to find the 100 yen store (Okinawa's version of the Dollar store) & we found it. Yipppeeee. After browsing the isles at the store we didn't feel like going back to the hotel, yes that's right hotel, so we headed to the beach.

It was rather warm w/a slight breeze. We had a great time wading through the water, not past mid calf, and we even encouraged Dominic to join in. He did, after some encouragement from mom & dad, he finally got his feet wet. That was it, he loved it, in fact he loved it so much that he got his shorts completely soaked & then started splashing mom & dad. Oh, it was fun, the water was warm and beautiful too. When we were finished splashing around we'd decided we should "come home" to have lunch & on our way out, we saw a Japanese couple coming onto the beach to take their wedding pictures.

We are so proud of our little man. He's been skiddish about going in the ocean due to the waves, but today he was fearless. Sorry no pictures though. We had left the camera back at the car. However, next time we go out we'll take it. I am sure he'll do the same again.

Update: The 18th of December is when our building's inspection is supposed to take place. We've even heard that it could be earlier than that, but we'll see. If it's earlier then great we can leave the hotel and head for our place. If not, then we'll move in sometime after the 18th of December. Our express shipment has arrived which means our desk top computer is here w/the cable hook ups to download the camera. However, the down side is, it's still in the warehouse until we can move into our place. So hopefully soon.

Well, hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the Christmas season. Until next time, please take care and hopefully the next update we'll be able to have pictures; be settled into our place; and have our house decorated for Christmas.

Our Love to All,
Tam, Nyoka & Dominic
