Preggie News

Well, by now you all know that Tam & I are expecting our second child. He/she is due around the 5th of October. What's up w/the fall babies, Dominic was born in November, oh well love them any way.

Anyhow, we have been taking pictures throughout our stages in this pregnancy as well & a friend requested to see pics of me the second time around. Ta da a new idea for a post I thought. I didn't include ultrasound pics as they do have my social on them and don't feel safe putting them on there.

We still will be taking more pics, just need to wait for Tam to return so that he can take the pics. Not sure how to set the camera to timer so I won't take them myself. Any how, please enjoy the few pics that we have.

Linh, thanks for the dress you bought me for my birth day back in 2006. It's perfect to wear while preggers and I don't feel all big and chunky in it.

Love to all,
Nyoka, Tam, Dominic & baby #2

P.S. I may just paint my belly again, but for the 4th of July. Stay tuned for those pics.

Misc. Pics #2

Update........

Well greetings all. Sorry for the delay, but that's life full of happenings that keep you busy.

Let's see...where do we begin. We finally finished wrapping up our preparations for the past advancement cycle and are eagerly anticipating the results; which should hopefully be out soon.

April, w/the test behind us, was a little bit more laxed. I have use or loose days on the books so I took 2 weeks off to pamper myself. Dominic stayed home w/me for the first week, then the second he went back to school. That was an adjustment as he was used to staying home w/mom. However, we worked on more potty training & I think he's getting it; just not quite complete yet.

Dominic got to celebrate his first ever Children's Day since our last post. Children's Day usually starts from the last week in April until the first week of May. Typically celebrated May 5th, traditionally used to be a holiday for just boys, but in I do believe 1948, the government decreed it to be a national holiday to celebrate all children's happiness. So we bought him a traditional Carp fish streamer, & of course it was green his favorite color; not to mention it's about 1 1/2 the size Dominic is. We forgot that Japan uses meters instead of feet, so when we brought the carp home it was real huge.

Tam has also been busy w/school & has completed is associates program; obtaining a degree in Business Administration w/a concentration in Criminal Justice. I am soooo proud of him, he's completed his associates before me. Although not to worry, I'll be finished by the summer of next year.

For the past few weeks Tam has been in Thailand on a mini deployment. He should be home soon, unless they make a detour to Myanmar (Burma). During this time, Dominic & I have just been chilling and hanging out. We had a relaxing day on Mother's Day. I had duty the night before. We rode the big Ferris Wheel, played games, road rides, drove bumper cars & took our picture together in a photo booth. We finished the day off w/fresh baked goods from the local bakery & ice cream, which Dominic decided to see how it looked on him.

As for the new addition, all is well w/mommy & baby #2. Moving frequently at night, although only small flutters w/an occasional kicking being felt from the outside of the tummy. For those who are wondering, yes, you can see a noticeable belly bump. However, no we are not finding out what the baby will be. Like us, you'll just have to wait for the news following the birth. The baby's not due until the first week in October, so for those planning a visit you have 2 months to shop. The awesome part about being preggers, besides feeling the baby move, is seeing Dominic rub my belly and talking to baby. In the beginning he didn't quite get it, because there wasn't a visible bump. But now it's priceless.

Well next month is the Hospital Corpsman's (HM) 110th birthday & Tam & I are going to the ball. Or should I say, Tam, baby #2 & I are going. Our very first ball ever was here and now we are going again. Awe the memories. I'll post more on the HM ball toward the event day and will have pictures to follow.

Other wise, we've been busy playing at the beach, snorkeling (Tam), playing at the parks and just enjoying our time here as a family. Seeing as how I've rambled on long enough, I will attach the photos to another BLOG update following this one.

Well for now, I will close. Nothing much else going on. Until next time, please take care and may God bless. For now I'm going to go sit on the couch w/Dominic & watch Finding Nemo.

Love to all.......
